It was a wonderful way to begin the day. I knew there would be a great sunrise when I arose because there were streams of clouds in the sky at 4:30 am, so I made an early pot of coffee and sat on the patio waiting for the first signs of light. I also knew that with the first signs of light that Zippy, the Costa's hummingbird that stays with me year-round, would be coming in for his first sips of nectar. So I positioned myself hoping that he would come when the light was just right...and he obliged. Sometimes it's worth the wait. Ya know?
