I just returned from Churchill, Canada where our family enjoyed several days exploring this northern town on the Hudson Bay. At this time of year, polar bears congregate near Churchill as they wait for the Hudson Bay to freeze. Once the bay is frozen, the bears hunt for their favorite food, ringed seals. We were able to observe lots of bears from a “tundra buggy,” which provides access to the bears and other wildlife in the area. This shot of a big polar bear amongst the willows was taken when it was snowing lightly on the tundra near the Hudson Bay.
