Portrait of a killer

It was one of those days, were I found the perfect spot very early in the morning. Close to Satara was a large lion pride with around 25 cats, who killed 2 zebras during the night. Within 2 hours I had over 500 photographs of these amazing cats. The lioness in this pictures is resting underneath a bush after fighting off her pride members for a few hours. You still can see some blood on her lower lip. This particular photograph was actually taken in b&w and is a part of a series. You can find a different lioness with blood tripping from her lip from the same pride. in color on my website (http://ift.tt/1sg7kVA) in the limited print section. The rest of this series will be entered into a wildlife competition at the end of the year.
