A male mule deer stands behind a thick set of willows in Grand Teton National Park, WY. This mature buck had an enormous set of antlers that he would shed at any moment as the autumn rut was well behind him and the depths of winter were becoming more and more apparent. As he stood and watched me through the brush, a light snowfall made the scene into a winter wonderland.
