A Christmas Moose
We found this moose grazing in this stand of scrubby willows in Bragg Creek, Alberta on Christmas morning. As he chewed on some branches, it looked like he favoured us with a smile!

Beaten up but not out of the game
This poor red fox vixen had a rough winter. Saw her for the first time after she had been attacked by another animal. She had open wounds and was limping badly. But a couple weeks later she is healing up and walking a lot better.
