Westerhever is located on the northwestern corner of the Eiderstedt Peninsula in North Germany. The Westerheversand Lighthouse is a major landmark on the peninsula and is surrounded by salt marshes. Built in 1906, its beacon was automated in 1979.

This was my favourite photo from the Sparsholt Countryside Day, The display by Falconhigh was a real treat, and the Owls were particularly impressive, but the moody sky really lent itself to a black and white photo (in truth, it was a lovely sunny day, but the clouds just happened to look moody for a brief moment!).

The Vendicari reserve is in province of Siracusa, Sicily. It is a very important place for birds migrations. Thousands of tourists comes every year for the wonderful landscapes, the birds, the sea, the landscape.
