Otter waits for food at the fence

The New Forest Wildlife Park is home to several otters, which really are fascinating creatures. Playful, noisy, aggressive, they can interchange between all states in the blink of an eye. This little fella was waiting for the keepers to bring its food over, and opted for pining at the fence, like a small child at the school fence. This was my favourite photo from the Sparsholt Countryside Day, The display by Falconhigh was a real treat, and the Owls were particularly impressive, but the moody sky really lent itself to a black and white photo (in truth, it was a lovely sunny day, but the clouds just happened to look moody for a brief moment!).
