Great Blue Heron drying off after eating breakfast. It had been raining all morning and the sky was still heavily overcast when I spotted him hunting for a meal in a small cove at Lake Ellis in Athol, MA. He emerged into the open after swallowing his catch and shook himself dry before taking flight across the lake. Taken handheld with D7100 and 300mm f4 +1.4tc © 2014 David Wornham Photography
